Ben Armstrong
A/Executive Director
Ben currently leads the Practice Management Branch, providing human resources, finance, information technology, records, business development and library services and support across Crown Law.
Ben has a 20-year public service career, including executive roles in a number of agencies, and 13 years of service with the Department of Justice (DoJ).
Prior to joining Crown Law, Ben was Executive Director of DoJ’s Office of the Director-General, leading cabinet, parliament and executive services for the department and providing strategic advice and support to the Director-General.
Ben has led strategic communications teams for DoJ, Queensland Health during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services through significant weather events and natural disasters. Ben also previously led crisis response and media for the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Queensland and began his public service career as a member of DoJ’s inaugural Graduate Development Program.
