Attorney-General, Yvette D’Ath has announced the Queensland State Government has removed the limitation period for victims of historical abuse to include serious physical and psychological abuse.

This will allow victims and survivors of historic serious physical abuse and those who are suffering from psychological abuse because of this sexual or physical abuse to pursue those claims.

Previously in Queensland, only victims of child sexual abuse have been able to pursue historical abuse claims in Queensland with the removal of the limitation period in 2017.
