Carrie has specialised in native title law since joining Crown Law in 2009. Prior to Crown Law, Carrie gained experience in criminal law and the banking sector.
Carrie predominantly focuses on native title determination applications relevant to native title rights and compensation filed in the Federal Court. Carrie’s extensive experience allows her to confidently navigate the complex and constantly evolving realm of native title law to achieve positive outcomes for her clients.
Carrie also regularly represents the State in the mediation and negotiation of native title and resources related matters.
Carrie’s experience includes:
- representing the State in complex native title litigation matters, both in the lower Federal Court and on appeal
- appearing on behalf of the State at case management hearings and mediations in the Federal Court
- provision of advice on various complex issues and matters that arise under the Native Title Act (Cth) 1993, or related legislation.
