Bond with PNG strengthened

Two lawyers from the Office of the State Solicitor in Papua New Guinea have completed four-weeks’ training with Crown Law in Brisbane as part of their ‘twinning program’.

The lawyers, Raka Raula and Lillian Vevara spent the time over April/May with various legal teams in Crown Law, as well as with teams in our Practice Management Branch.

The program involves the placement of officers from the PNG Office of the State Solicitor in Australian Crown Law offices for short periods for work experience in specific areas of law and exposure to work processes, the environment and organisation.

Crown Law has developed strong professional ties with PNG having hosted two visits by a deputation from the PNG Office of the Solicitor General and representatives from their Office of the State Solicitor in late 2013 and again in November 2014.
